Welcome to Pocket Holic, a Korean-Japanese sushi restaurant at 304 10 Street NW in Kensington, Calgary. We're open every day from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM, serving topping inari pocket sushi, creamy and soup udon, poke bowls, sushi rolls and party platters for lunch and dinner. The Pocket Holic team opened the restaurant in 2021, inspired by inari sushi. Their main dish is topping inari sushi: a pouch of seasoned fried tofu filled with sushi rice, with a topping on top. That tofu "pocket" is where the name Pocket Holic comes from, and what Pocket Holic calls "the first & best topping inari sushi in YYC" now comes with more than 20 toppings. Daily Hive covered the opening in January 2022 as an "authentic Korean-Japanese" spot in Kensington.
Favourites include the Aburi Salmon Pocket Sushi, the Pocket Holic Special (any udon, two pocket sushi and miso soup), Rose Tteokbokki Udon, Bangkok Shrimp Udon, the Tokyo Bowl spicy salmon poke and the Fire Red Dragon Roll. Party platters make it easy to feed a group, and vegetarian guests can choose tofu veggie soup udon, avocado and vegetable pocket sushi, salads and edamame.
